Frank Peak

Ok, from time to time I run across things that I’ll pick up and keep just because they make me laugh or I like the design or shape.  This is a paper plate I found and have no idea where it came from.  But,  I’m not entirely sure if this a portrait of some poor girl some evil little kid drew, or if its a graffitiied self portrait some little turd spiced up or what.  All I know is that poor little Jenny got worked.  But I love the spacing on the eyes of this drawing, and the furry eyelids along with the expression on her face.  Not to mention the fact that the “Artist” in question used a green marker to draw the snot on her face.  A plain black marker/ crayon wouldn’t have done it justice, but the GREEN one makes no mistake that poor Jenny has snot running out of her nose.  Every time I look at it, it makes me laugh at how its such a mean little drawing it is.

This sketch is a little older, but was done after I had a pretty crappy day at work.  I was on the phone and doodled this on a scratch piece of paper.

Frequently, my daughter will ask me to sit down and draw with her.  I always try to draw her something that will make her laugh, but this one had no effect.  It did however, make me laugh as I imagined how this bear would have taken a bite out of this donut.  I, for some odd reason, imagined him closing his eyes and wrapping his lips around the donut.    As you probably can tell, it was done in green crayon.

So lately, I’ve been doodling on napkins while on the phone.  Don’t ask me why, I do so, I guess its just because there has been a stack laying around.  It must be something about the texture or something, but I’ve enjoyed doodling on them lately.  Anyhow, here are a few of them.
