Just thought I’d post a few drawings from my sketchbook that I’ve been posting on my Twitter account as of late.  These sketches I’ve posted here are warm ups I’ve been doing lately of boxers. I try to post a daily drawing…well….daily.  I’ve been calling it the ALMOST Daily Drawing.  So if you have a twitter account and you are a twitter-er, hop on over and follow me @frankpeak.  A search for #almostdailydrawing should pop several examples of what I’ve been posting.  Its usually sketchbook stuff, odds and ends of characters and rejects from past projects.

Here is  a new St. Patricks day print I’ve just completed for Ultra-Pop on Bardstown Road in Louisville, where prints are currently available.  Stop in to see Paul and pick up your print! This one was a fun one to do.  The belt buckle and the gold have hand drawn gold highlights I’ve put on them.

Ok. .. riff on a bad joke my father-in-law tells… actually pretty funny joke if you think about it, but besides the point.  Just a sketch out of my sketchbook.

Ultra-Pop asked me if I wouldn’t mind doin up a print for Valentines Day for at the shop.  I toyed with several ideas and this is what I came up with.   Its kind of mushy, but I like how it turned out.  If you want to head on over to their site you can see my Print featured there on the main page.

Here are a few more post it note drawings I’ve done recently.  Seems like I’ve done a ton of owls and birds lately.

With winter and Christmas right around the corner, I’ve been sketching around with a lot of Christmas stuff.  As I was playing around with different Santa Claus designs, I was musing as to ” what if ” Santa Claus was a super hero.  This is one of what came out of that.

My show went off with out a hitch! It went up at Ultra-Pop Sat. December 5th and went great! I had a great time and there was a great turn out. All I can say is a huge Thank You! Big thanks goes to Paul at Ultra-Pop for hosting the show. There are currently still a few pieces and prints available at Ultra-Pop so if you think you might be interested then give Paul a call. Big thanks goes to Dave Buschermohle who helped with the layout on the above poster as well as with a multitude of other things with the show– including  a custom button set!
