Indatus Buttons
by admin on Jun.27, 2011, under Work
Recently I was asked by Indatus to design a set of buttons to be used as give aways at their booths. I sketched around a few ideas and these were the out come of the button set. They also put up a nice little one pager on the artists included in their button packs. http://indatus.com/buttons/
Special Thanks goes to Robby Davis the Art Director over at Indatus for including me in the artist set. He’s a pretty talented artist in his own right! http://www.robbydavis.com/
IPAD Drawings

Ok, so I finally broke down and bought an Ipad. I got a really good deal on it that I couldn’t pass up from a buddy of mine. I’d been doing some paintings on my Iphone, so I thought I’d give it a whirl to do some sketches and paintings on the Ipad. For all of my work up to this point I’ve been doing my digital paints with an old school Wacom Intuos 2. I’ve yet to break down and get a Cintiq ( although I’ve wanted to ) so this was my first stab at directly drawing on a tablet. So I picked up a stylus and gave it a whirl. It proved to be a little different and at times a hair laggy, but I’ve enjoyed it quite a bit. Most of these have been done in Alias Sketchbook Pro, and a couple have been done in ProCreate.

Here a couple of quick paintings I did on my iphone. They work for the most part. But are pretty basic and simple….then again….I was basically finger painting. Mostly these are just color tests.
Sketchbook Dump

Been a little while since I’ve posted some sketchbook stuff. So I put together a few pages to put up here. Lots of miscellaneous stuff here. Several of these are just warm ups I’ll do by drawing, creating a shape and force myself to turn it into a character…..Hence alot of heads. But I’ve been trying to loosen up more. I tend to draw a little stiff and tight at times.
Faces Magazine

Recent Illustration done for Faces Magazine. This one was a tough one. It depicted a time where Russian cosmonauts gave the U.S astronauts bread and salt as a token of good will aboard the Space station early on.
